“Feeding the Family” is the theme selected for the 2023 “Spring Into the Past” tour of the Tri-River Historical Museum Network. Member museums will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, and from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, so people can visit multiple museums. This annual event received the 2021 Historical Society of Michigan State History Award for Special Events/Programs.
Held annually in the spring in the Metro Detroit area, this conference is open to anyone interested in state or regional history.
We're heading down the river to N'awlins! Join Michiganders on the Road as we explore the sites, sounds, and eats of New Orleans, its surrounding areas, and historic points of note on the southernmost parts near the Mississippi River. While the full tour itinerary is still being finalized, our tour will definitely include stops to the French Quarter, the World War II Museum, the Whitney Plantation, and Vicksburg Battlefield.
