Michigan Centennial Farm Association

A community of Michigan Centennial Farm owners.

Connect with other farm families

The Michigan Centennial Farm Association (MCFA) is an affinity group of certified Michigan Centennial Farm owners that was established in 1955. The purpose of the association is to promote the farm program, encourage the development of rural life in Michigan, highlight the history of local communities, and carry out educational programs.

The MCFA publishes a semiannual newsletter and holds an annual meeting to elect a board of directors each spring. In addition to those functions, the MCFA also sponsors a number of regional events and awards annual college scholarships each year to members of association families who are pursuing careers in fields related to agriculture.

Joining the MCFA

Centennial Farm families are eligible for membership in the Michigan Centennial Farm Association (MCFA), an affinity group of farmers who have obtained Centennial and/or Sesquicentennial farm status.

The Michigan Centennial Farm Association partners with the Historical Society of Michigan (HSM) to offer a joint HSM-MCFA membership. This partnership offers benefits that only Michigan Centennial Farm owners who are association members receive—including all of the benefits of an HSM membership. HSM assists with a number of critical functions for the MCFA and also extends its membership benefits to our members. Your membership dues will help continue both organizations’ commitment to honoring our state’s agricultural heritage.
