The White Lake Historical Society

The purpose of this Society shall be to bring together those people interested in history and especially in the history of the White Lake Township Area. The Society shall preserve, advance and disseminate knowledge of the history of the White Lake Township Area. It shall be the duty of said Society to collect, arrange and preserve and restore historical material, including buildings, books, pamphlets, maps, charts, manuscripts, papers, copies of domestic and foreign records and archives, paintings, statuary and other objects and material illustrative of the early pioneers, their exploits, perils, privations and achievements. The society shall cooperate with and assist other historical societies with a view to gathering historical matters pertaining to the White Lake area and its early pioneers.

 

 

Reminders!

Ruggles Produce and Plants is once again open at the farm May 1-October 31.

The normally scheduled Feb. meeting will be replaced by attending the Vernor's Ginger Ale history presentation at the White Lake Library, Mon. Feb. 8th from  6:30 to 7:30 pm.  Please register with the library so they know how many Boston Coolers they need to serve!  248-698-4942 ext. 3.

Flea Markets Coming Soon--Beginning May 15, 2010 we will have monthly flea markets at the farm on the 3rd Sat. of the month through Oct. 15th.  To reserve a spot to sell your wares, contact Greg at 248-360-0188.

Also in the works are musical/entertainment evenings on these same third Saturdays (only June-September).  Know of a good local group that would like some exposure, contact Greg at the number above.
