Log analyses are run on Sunday mornings, shortly after 7 am. The logs analyzed for each run cover the week ending Sunday morning. Logs from three hosts are analyzed: the main H-Net web server, the H-Net LISTSERV host, and the main MATRIX web server. Logs for the main H-Net web server before July of 2000 contain only IP addresses, not host names. Translation of large numbers of IP addresses is extremely time consuming. Reports before mid-August 2000 cover only the main H-Net web server. The main H-Net and LISTSERV servers close their log files at 6:00 AM. The MATRIX server closes its logs at midnight.
The entries in the table above represent the date of the log analysis run. At the intersection of June and 2000, for example, four dates are listed: the 25th, the 18th, the 11th, and the 4th of June, 2000.
