Roscommon Area Historical Society, Roscommon

Information:

Museum: The 1880's-built Gallimore Boarding House operated from 1904 to 1931 and has three rooms furnished to that period, two exhibit rooms and a gift shop. The Richardson Schoolhouse (1914-1955) is a museum.

Hours:

The Museum/Archives are open Memorial Day through September 30, Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 pm.

Collections:

Collections include pictures, ledger books dated as early as the 1890s, maps, several written personal memoirs, and 41 oral history tapes. Our concentration is on the Higgins Lake and Roscommon areas.
