Van Buren County Historical Society

The Van Buren County Historical Society maintains a museum in an historic 1884 county poorhouse. The museum features three floors of historical items, including a one-room school, a general store, housing period products and the music room, old-fashioned kitchen, turn-of-the-century parlor, old dentist office and military room. There is also a replica log cabin and blacksmith works on the grounds.
