Central Lake Area Historical Society

The Central Lake Area Historical Society documents and preserves area history for future generations by collecting and presenting local historic items. The society maintains the Knowels Historical Museum in a restored home that is furnished with local period furniture.

Its collections include donated furnishings; more than 100 years of local newspaper The Central Lake Torch; many histories, tapes, pictures, and books by local authors; and genealogy research materials.

Hours: Wed-Fri 1-4pm. Also by appointment.
