Bois Blanc Island Historical Society
The Bois Blanc Island Historical Society was founded in 1983. The society maintains a museum in the same building as the library. Its collection includes lumber industry tools, relics from the soldiers on Mackinac Island who used Bois Blanc Island as a woodlot, household items, books from the Island school, and cassette tapes of oral history.
