Publications

The Historical Society of Michigan publishes Michigan History magazine six times a year and the Chronicle, the Society’s membership magazine, on a quarterly basis. The Society also publishes the Historic Michigan Travel Guide and the Michigan History Directory. While the travel guide provides detailed listings for member organizations with physical locations, the directory compiles more than 750 historical organizations throughout the state.

The Society also supports and distributes to its Regular level members the Michigan Historical Review, which is published semi-annually by the Clarke Historical Library and the History Department at Central Michigan University.
