Programs
The Historical Society of Michigan hosts a variety of programs that help further the understanding of Michigan history. Michigan History Day encourages a younger generation to preform self-directed research on the subject, while the Society’s Training Workshops offer a continued learning experiences for local historical organizations and history enthusiasts.
The Society also operates recognition programs such as the Centennial Farm Program and Milestone Awards, as well as the State and UP History Awards to celebrate the individuals, organizations, and busineses that aid in the preservation of Michigan’s history.
