Information:

Organized in 1991, 210 members help support community museum and log cabin. Main goal is to preserve local history and provide educational opportunities for all segments of the community. Monthly meeting: 4th Tuesday of each month


Archives:

Over 10,000 items cataloged including business, industry, schools, churches, military, local history featuring Harsens Island of the early 20th century with its magnificent hotels and stops by the Steamers of the White Star Line including the Tashmoo.


Special Collections:

Boat-building heritage including Chris-Craft, Gar Wood and other local boat builders. Collection of boat racing memorabilia including Gar Wood's Miss Americas, Harmsworth racing literature.
